Pushing pixels since 2003, professionally since 2005, freelancing right now. I do not work for free and am also not a fan of speculative work. Even tho I pixel for money I still like to pixel for fun mainly exploring restrictions. This is because I find working with restrictions interesting as they make you think and approach problems in ways you would not were you without the restricted ruleset. This then helps with things when you are working without restrictions as well as :)
